Anger

Back To Animation Research Blog ->

Anger was the first emotion i looked at i started my research by looking at a detailed description of the emotion itself to get a better understanding of what i am trying to achieve from this i learn that aggression in its broadest sense is behavior that is forceful or hostile, it can occur in many different scenarios and can be induced by taunting and stressful situations and people respond to aggression in many different ways including being extremely passive or even retaliating. i found the best description came from WIKIPEDIA.

after this i decided to have a quick browse on YouTube to see other animations that dictate emotion here is a few links to the ones i watched.

Our Argument - a film about anger

After watching quite a few video's on YouTube all being fairly similar to the ones i linked above i decided to have a look at some images to see how emotion can be shown from still drawings as well.

Unfortunately all the images i came across focused allot around facial expression to show the emotion.
so i decided to have a look for angry poses to help me with my research.

yet again i found it incredibly hard to find good images that would help me with my work towards researching anger so i decided it was time to give it ago myself after observing people and looking at my own actions i tried to draw images that push threw the emotion of anger.

These are the images i drew myself to explore anger as an emotion.

i thought this was effective because swearing with your hands is a very powerful sign of aggression

I thought this was effective to show anger because from his body language you can tell he is ready for a fight.
i thought this was appropriate because people raise there fists when angered.

yet again i felt this was appropriate because people tend to pull there hair or firmly grasp there head when angry.

This again is a typical trait of someone who is angered clenching there fist or scrunching something up.

this is somehitng i came across while looking at comics i think the body lanaguage can be taken in diffrent ways but i believe that
